The Middle East is an area where cars and truck is king and fuel is inexpensive, often leaving little reward to more environmentally-friendly methods of walking around.
But this year, as protests across the Middle East have actually pushed up the price of oil, the issue of finding alternative sources of fuel has actually come into sharp focus.
In a region that has one of the highest carbon footprints on the planet, one service is benefiting from the growing pressure to find alternatives to oil. It's established the Middle East's first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing profitable too, already their client-list contains McDonald's.
